My first lesson learned in the north!

Today I took the dog outside today during low tide. While we were out enjoying the outside the plane flew directly over us. The dog thought?? that is was a very big bird (She loves to chase birds) and decided to chase the plane as it was coming in for a landing. Unfortunately I didn’t have our video camera with me, so I trekked back to the house to get it.

I came out and patiently waited for the plane to take off and hoping the dog would chase it again. It honestly was hilarious. While out there I always had my eye on the level of the water. It started to rain and the plane didn’t seem to be taking off anytime soon, so I decided to head back to the house. As soon as I turned around I discovered that the tide had started to come back in!! We are still waiting for our household effects so I have yet to receive my rubber boots. All I was wearing was running shoes. So I had to wade through mid-calf deep water!! Oops….Next time I will pay attention to the water level ALL around me!! I have attached a video of me traipsing through the water. Good thing I went back to get the video camera hey??!??!?!

Well, I guess that answers one question I had about whether there was a tide where you are. How high is the tide?

Great video! How cold do you think the water was? Should I send you a pool thermometer?
