10,000……
Views that is!! Etienne and I have been checking out the Stats on our blog. We’ve been watching the number of views on our blog increase quickly. We have said that if/when it ever reached 10,000 views we’d write a post about it. So, this morning it has hit 10,000 views. (more…)
Northern Lights…..or not…
We initially went out to take a few pictures of the Northern Lights. By the time we got dressed and drove out of town the lights were gone. Maybe next time. We still were able to get a couple really nice pictures. Hope you enjoy. (more…)
Sunset
I finally brought the camera outside with me today when I took the dog out to play. It was -21 but it was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and no clouds. The pictures below were taken at 1:30pm today. You can see the sun is starting to set. (more…)

My new parka
Since we moved up here in August, I wasn’t able to buy a warm winter jacket from the south. I have a winter coat that was plenty warm enough in northern Alberta, but it just wouldn’t keep up with the cold up here. Etienne and I spent a lot of time online researching jackets. (more…)
Memorial Dance
For the past three years, a memorial dance has been held in Chesterfield to raise money for Cancer. The family puts on the fundraiser in memory of a gentleman that died of Cancer three years ago. It starts on Thursday evening and goes for the weekend. It is a pretty big event. People fly in from around the area.
He lived to tell the tale!!
On Tuesday Chesterfield Inlet Development Corporation (CIDC) held a feast and prizes for their 10 year anniversary. They had a tonne of food there. Both “regular” food and “country food”. The regular food included: turkey, ham, macaroni salad, buns, etc. Country meat is an assortment of frozen(raw) and “cached”
