2009 Nunies
For the last few years there has been a blogging award for Nunavut Blogs. I don’t know a lot about it, but Etienne has been hounding me to write a post about it.
Here is a link to read more about it. There is a long list of northern blogs on the right hand side. The voting deadline is Monday January 11th. I have seen other’s write on their blogs to vote for them, so I guess I can add my little “blurb” in here too. Etienne wants to have at least one or two votes. He’s hoping our family will have a look around at some other blogs and vote (he’s secretly hoping that they will vote for “The Arctic Post”).
Anyways, check out the website and send a vote. I have to agree there are some great blogs out there. My “Netnews Wire” list has been evergrowing since I have started reading blogs.

The above photo is me and her. You probably had it all figured out anyways. We are about to live a once in a lifetime experience, The Great White Canadian Arctic. We have decided to create this blog to keep our friends, families and curious strangers abreast of our adventures. I'm sure a few misadventures as well. All while living in Chesterfield Inlet, Nunavut. Read on to see what it's all about!

Oh! And by the way, this is Cisco, our dog. Even though she likes to puke a lot, she's still part of the family and will partake in our adventure to the North. She'll be sure to keep us on our toes and keep the polar bears at bay! She's also good for a few laughs in between leg humping sessions. We still haven't figured out how to stop that...

I just went in to nominate your blog but it ended on January 11. Missed it by one day. I didn’t know there was a deadline or would have done it sooner. SORRY!!! Is this done just once a year. If not remind us again next time and I will be sure to go in and nominate you. I sent it in anyway. You never know.
