Yesterday I was invited to go caribou hunting with a few people. Today is the last day of hunting season for non-Inuit people. I’m really glad that I decided to go because it was a lot of fun. We finally took our honda out for a quick drive yesterday evening. It’s the first time we’ve had it out since winter started. It was nice to get out and bomb around a bit. Not all of the roads in the area are plowed, but we were still able to drive around a take a few pictures. Read more…

So here I am sitting in a hotel room in Winnipeg, only 1 more sleep away from being back home! It was been a very long but fantastic 9 weeks. I have loved all the time I was able to spend with family and friends. We were able to do a lot of interesting things while we were down. I am sad to say good-bye to them, but I am also very happy to be going home. There’s nothing like being back in your own home, cooking in your own kitchen and most importantly, sleeping in your own bed! Read more…
That was how our Easter weekend was spent!!
This past week we spent 5 days in Ottawa. For the most part it was a really good time.
The above photo is me and her. You probably had it all figured out anyways. We are about to live a once in a lifetime experience, The Great White Canadian Arctic. We have decided to create this blog to keep our friends, families and curious strangers abreast of our adventures. I'm sure a few misadventures as well. All while living in Chesterfield Inlet, Nunavut. Read on to see what it's all about!

Oh! And by the way, this is Cisco, our dog. Even though she likes to puke a lot, she's still part of the family and will partake in our adventure to the North. She'll be sure to keep us on our toes and keep the polar bears at bay! She's also good for a few laughs in between leg humping sessions. We still haven't figured out how to stop that...
