Snowmobile Races

This past weekend, Chester hosted Snowmobile races. I guess it used to be an annual event, but there haven’t been races in about 5 years.  We headed out on Saturday to check things out.

The racers were from Chester and Rankin Inlet. The junior winner was from here. The seniors race winner was from Rankin.

There was quite a few people that turned up to watch the races. We decided to take our Honda out. We haven’t really taken it anywhere there has been a community function. I think everyone’s heads turned and watched us as we drove up. Once we stopped and got out, all the kids came over to check it out. It ended up being the “feature attraction” at the races. Poor Etienne ended up policing it, making sure everyone got a turn. There were a few fights and a few tears, but overall the kids enjoyed playing in it.

They're off!

We even had a couple of unusual spectators!!

Look close, you can see the pilot!!

Wave to the co-pilot!!!

We took our zoom lens with us and were able to capture the above pictures. The one with the face in the window we cropped and zoomed the original picture. I was impressed with this lens!

Great pictures. It’s funny about your Honda and Etienne having to police the kids to take turns. Maybe you could have a sideline giving rides to kids at events!

The plane makes me think of the planes flying over Sylvie’s house. We joke about waving to the pilot.

Great photo of you at the end there.

Well the only way I can tell that the weather is warmer is you are not wearing the blue parka. Looks like it was a great day all in all. Is that a lady with a baby on her back or just a certain type of backpack. Just wondering since you said it was all kids and the baby looks like it is going to fall off at any moment.
