A weekend drive
This weekend we decided to take a drive out to first lake. Since I’ve been fighting a nasty cold, and have been basically stuck in the house for the past week, we decided this was a good chance to burn off some energy the dog has been building up over the past week. Now, when we start to get ready to go on the honda, the dog knows exactly what is happening and gets excited. This is a big improvement since the first time we took her out. As soon as we’d start the honda, she’d run to the front door and want to go in the house. She seemed to be scared of it. I’m happy that she now loves running with it. She will definitely get the chance to do it a lot this summer.
The weather was warm and the winds were very calm but, it was cloudy and threatening rain. The clouds were so cool to watch. It was so nice to get out. The dog loved rolling around in the snow and playing in the water. Since the snow is melted in town, she doesn’t get to play in it anymore. She definitely loved being able to play in it again. She also loved to splash around in the little bit of water that is along the edge of the lake. I can’t believe that the ice cold water doesn’t bother her at all.
From our inexperienced eyes, it looked like the lake was melting, but while we were there, we saw a few people out ice fishing on the lake. So I guess it just goes to show what we know!
Below are a few pictures we took while we were out.

What is around Cisco’s neck? Great photos. Hope you are feeling better.
It’s a collar we use for her…it gives up the option to “Buzz” her if she runs away and won’t come back…..Like when she’s chasing birds and rabbits.
How fast was the honda going when you took the pic of the dog running?
Between 30 and 40 km/h
Beautiful photos once again, thanks for sharing and I hope you are feeling better soon Carly. Give Cisco a hug from us.
Okay, Cisco must be kookoo, that water had to be FREEZING, can’t believe she kept going in it. Hope your cold is better.
Sky shots are always my favorite. That’s a great one.
GREAT shots!!! I can’t believe how fast that melted!
