Summer Solstice

June 21st was Summer Solstice (The longest day of the year).  We decided to set up the camera to capture what 24 hours looks like for us. We programmed the camera to take pictures every 10 minutes from midnight to midnight. We have turned the pictures into a movie showing what it looks up here over a 24 hour period. Due to the sun rising, and shining directly on the camera, a few pictures are darker than what it really is outside. It is a little deceiving. It is actually brighter than what it shows in the couple of darker pictures.

What a great idea and it’s really neat to see the tide go out and come in.

That was so cool! I loved watching the tide and the shadows on the ground! Great idea, wish I had thought of that when I lived up north ;)

O my gosh. That’s insane! But as fascinating as it is to watch it on video, I’m sure it doesn’t come near to how it really feels like in real life! Enjoy!
