Nunavut Day

July 9 was Nunavut Day. It is a public holiday here. Everything was closed in town for the day. The Co-Op put on a bbq from 1 – 3pm. They had hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni and potato salad.  There was a really good turn out. The weather even cooperated. It was a little windy, but no rain! As I wasn’t feeling very good, I only stayed for a little while. From what I heard they had boat races out at Police Lake and also did Tea and Bannock making afterwards. I’m sad that I missed seeing all the activities. Oh well, what can you do? I apologize that I didn’t get any pictures. Next year :) .

For ailments of the stomach, try herbal teas. I have had “evil spirits” in my stomach tonight. While watching Jack London’s “Call of the Wild”, I had a cup of peppermint tea. Feel fine now. Get well!
