Lots of planning, prep, shopping and some well deserved Ocean time!
After deep water lake, we were supposed to spend the rest of the week paddling in the ocean.
Found them!
Today we went out for a honda ride with friends of ours. We went to go and check out where we will be kayaking this week.
Fishing and berries….
Last night Etienne decided he felt like fishing. So we loaded up and headed out.
What a great start!!
As I have mentioned in previous posts, I was asked to kayak with one of the teachers and a few classes of students. Yesterday was our first day. We will be kayaking during school days for the next two weeks. Grades 9 – 12 are participating. It should be a really good time.
A good deal?
This afternoon I went over to Etienne’s office to talk to him. He said that he was all excited about a purchase he made today.
Impressive!
Etienne has been corresponding with someone from Arviat for work purposes. During one of their conversations they ended up talking about items that are carved and sold in town, one of them being crib boards that are carved out of caribou antlers.
Colorful Sunset
Last night Etienne looked out the window and commented on the color of the sky. It was bright pink.
Disappointing News….
I believe I have mentioned in past posts that I am a sponsor for a child in Thailand.
