A good deal?
This afternoon I went over to Etienne’s office to talk to him. He said that he was all excited about a purchase he made today.
He grabbed a bag and pulled out a box. It was a “Chop and Grate”. It is a knock-off version of the Slap Chop! I just shook my head and asked him what would posses him to buy that? Well this is what he showed me…..
He said that it was such a good deal that he couldn’t turn it down! So, now I have a $.25 “Chop and Grate” thing that I will probably never use. I was thinking this would be a good Xmas present for someone?? LOL. I guess I can’t do it now that everyone has seen this!! Who says you can’t find a good deal in the North!!!

That’s a better deal than you can get at the dollar store. I guess it’s a question of demand. Etienne was the only person up there that wanted it. Maybe Mario needs one.

Mario did make a purchase as well! He bought something different though, and at the same great price……”The Nicer Dicer”!!!! This is what happens when you let two men shop!!!

Every summer before the barge arrived in Kugluktuk, the Northern Store and the Coop would have the most amazing sales. They were practically giving stuff away! Loved those sales.

I bought an attache case (sp?) at Northern once for $9.99. That’s what the tag said, although I’m sure it was a mistake. As was buying the case because it broke within the year…

Hey, I could use that as a prize in a blog contest! I’m serious! Send it down here if you’re not going to use it, but leave the sticker on it.

Oh T… I don’t think Carly should allow you to carry money any more.

I find that if something has that “As Seen on TV” logo, best leave it on the TV.

My favourite deal was the then brand new LED outside christmas lights that were all marked down to .50 a package in CD one year after Christams. I bought two totes full. All the blue and white they had. And the $10 whole leg of lamb in the Chesterfield Inlet Northern

Looks like some of my deals from the dollar store. Dave just loves it when I shop there I find all kinds of deals (never at $.25 though nothing is ever lower than a dollar). You will have to send Etienne once you move back he will love that store lol ! ! !

Damn! The grate thing is kind of a waste, but what Indigo says sounds like an actual good deal. Christmas lights that ppl actually use, and a nice leg of lamb…mmmm. Did the lights last?

At first glance I thought it said $25 as in Dollars and the sad thing…. I wasn’t shocked
