About this Blog

Force Plane C-FMPN
We created this site for two reasons.
The main reason was to document our experiences during the planning, preparation and execution of our move to Nunavut. This will allow us to share this exciting adventure with our friends and family. By creating this blog, we will allow all of you to read about our adventures, see some pictures, access links to further information, all at a single location.
The second reason was to keep track of all the little things we experience while planning our move. Currently there is no “manual” for RCMP and their familes while making this huge move. We want to be able to create a “how to manual” so the other members have a source of information to refer to while going through each step of the move. This will include tips, hints, resources, what to pack, what to buy, what to bring, etc.

Great pic of the plane. We got really lucky and got to take MPN direct from Ottawa to Cape Dorset when we moved here last year. The only drawback was that there is no bathroom on the plane and I was pregnant. Pregnant ladies need bathrooms handy at all times.
This is the first time that we have a friend working in the COLD white north and we are really glad that the blog enables us to learn more about that far north region of our beloved country called Canada. Continue with your good work to protect our country and best wishes to you all.
I’m pretty excited to have found your blog! I’m hoping to come up for the first of May to work at the Naja Isobelle home. Had a contract 6 years ago and am comin back for more!
I look forward to reading about all of your adventures!
That’s exciting. How long are you planning to be in Chester for?

the movers just emptied our apartment, and hopefully I have the right stuff and enough of it, although it seems I came nowhere near to the 3800 pounds…oh well….
any last minute advice?
thanks for your blog
