We’re back…
We arrived safely back in Chester on Tuesday. It was definitely not without a bit of uncertainty.
Happy Halloween….Only a week late!!
I know, I know, I’m over a week late with this post. I have no reason for being this late other than a lack of motivation to sort through the pictures and put them up!
Outdoor Fun….
We have finally had below zero weather and snow fall in the past couple of days. Today there was a winter storm watch that turned into a Snowfall warning for our area. For tomorrow, they are calling for high winds (gusting to 70km/hr) with snowfall accumulating up to 25cm. I decided to take advantage of the warmer weather and winds of only 40km/hr and take the dog outside to burn off some energy.
New Addiction??!!
When farmville started on facebook, I swore that I would not even start playing because I didn’t want to get addicted and spend endless hours on it like so many other people.
New Parka
Since I had a parka made last year, we figured that we’d have one made for Etienne this year. It turned out really nice. He’s excited to wear it this winter and stay warm.
Ship Central?
While the barge was here unloading, I happened to look out one evening and noticed that there were more lights in the bay than usual. The next morning we noticed that there was a fuel tanker.
The long wait is finally over!
So after 3 long months of waiting, wondering and rumors, the barge finally arrived on Wednesday morning.
Our First Northern Snowman
Yesterday we decided to take advantage of the warm weather and fresh snow.

The above photo is me and her. You probably had it all figured out anyways. We are about to live a once in a lifetime experience, The Great White Canadian Arctic. We have decided to create this blog to keep our friends, families and curious strangers abreast of our adventures. I'm sure a few misadventures as well. All while living in Chesterfield Inlet, Nunavut. Read on to see what it's all about!

Oh! And by the way, this is Cisco, our dog. Even though she likes to puke a lot, she's still part of the family and will partake in our adventure to the North. She'll be sure to keep us on our toes and keep the polar bears at bay! She's also good for a few laughs in between leg humping sessions. We still haven't figured out how to stop that...
